The countdown is on to SocialDay Festival 2022: the event helping social media marketers do their jobs better. We’ve been working on an incredible line-up this year, with speakers from the major social media platforms, biggest brands and most up-and-coming agencies.
One of these speakers is none other than ITV’s Claire Hoang! Claire is a Marketing Lead GL&M team at ITV, with her past career including working on shows ranging from Strictly, The Greatest Dancer, This Morning, Love Island and Coronation Street. Her SocialDay session will look at how she harnesses the passion of fans by using great content and brands to take them beyond viewers. - sounds pretty amazing, right?
Let’s learn more about Claire and her session.

A mix of like minded people who all want to learn from each other! I've met some amazing people at the previous events and always inspired!
We are really looking forward to your session, what are the key takeaways?
1) How to make it easy for fans to become customers
2) How to use all the social media tools at your disposa
l 3) How to make sure your content engages them
What’s the most exciting thing you’ve seen on social media in the last 12 months?
So so geeky, but brand protection becoming available on Meta. It really shows the move to proper regulation across that platform.
What challenges do you feel you will be facing in the coming years in your role?
Whether or not social platforms can cross the e-commerce barrier in the west? How we continue to combat misinformation across social media.
What has been your best social media success story to date and why?
Using social media to really give a boost to selling the Love Island Water Bottles! It's always been an iconic brand - but plugging into areas like Instagram Shops and TikTok have been interesting.
What has been your favourite social media campaign in the last year and why?
Air BnB and other brands (Uber) really show the best side of humans during the ongoing war in Ukraine - offering up accommodation and travel to help make people's lives easier. Brilliant use of the platform.
Finally, what would you like to see happen in social media in the future?
Working in the media industry, we're beholden to strict guidelines to make sure people can trust us. Misinformation across social media networks has influenced massive political change (like Brexit) and as a result, any advertising on social media should be held to the same standards as any other paid platform.
