Facebook rolls out fact-checking operation in UK

Facebook’s fact-checking operation is launching in the UK, with the independent charity Full Fact selected to be the first British publisher to review and rate the accuracy of content on the social network.


A first look at Twitter’s new beta app and its bid to remain ‘valuable and relevant’

In the coming weeks, it’s going to launch a new beta program, where a select group of users will get access to features, by way of a standalone app, to use and talk about new features with others. Twitter, in turn, will use data that it picks up from that usage and chatter to decide how and if to turn those tests into full-blown product features for the rest of its user base.

Orchestrated by the experience agency Imagination, the event included a performance by spoken word artist Prince EA, who also has created a YouTube video using the same words he read on stage. 

Twitch Gamer Gifted Over $70k Worth of Bitcoin During Livestream

A video game streamer was gifted over $70,000 worth of bitcoin yesterday, while he played the game RuneScape on the video streaming service Twitch in front of an audience of about two thousand. The several separate donations came as a shock to Sick_Nerd, the player’s gaming handle.
