God of making videos!
I didn’t expect to like CapCut as much as I do, but it’s honestly become one of my favourite tools for video editing. What I love most is how easy it is to use. You can trim clips, add subtitles, transitions, and effects in minutes without needing to be a professional editor. The auto-captions feature alone saves so much time, especially when creating content for social media. It also has loads of templates and trending effects that make videos look polished very quickly. Is it Hollywood-level editing software? Of course not. But for quick, engaging content, CapCut makes video editing feel surprisingly fun.

CapCut Review!!!
I started using CapCut when I began creating more content, and honestly it quickly became one of my favorite editing tools. What I love most is how easy it is to use. Even if you’re not a professional video editor, you can still create really polished content. The interface is very intuitive, and it has so many powerful features that make editing faster, things like built-in effects, transitions, text animations, auto captions, and templates. Personally, I started editing mostly on the mobile version, and I have to say it’s very easy to figure out right away. Everything feels simple and beginner-friendly, which makes it great if you're just starting with content creation. But once I got used to the desktop version, it actually became my favorite way to edit. At first it can feel a bit overwhelming compared to mobile, but after a short time it’s much easier to navigate and edit faster. Having the bigger screen and timeline controls makes a huge difference when you’re working on longer videos or more detailed edits.
Pros:
Extremely beginner-friendly Tons of editing features and effects Great for both quick edits and more advanced videos Mobile and desktop versions available Fast editing once you get used to the workflow
Cons:
The desktop version currently doesn’t have a search button for text styles, which would make it much easier to quickly find specific text templates. Hopefully that’s something they add in the future.

I almost love it!
I’ve been using CapCut for a while now, and honestly I almost love it. There’s so much to appreciate, the drag and drop timeline, the range of effects and transitions, easy audio editing, and the ability to create polished videos quickly whether I’m on desktop or mobile. For social content, quick promos, or campaign snippets, it’s a huge time saver and fairly straight forward. I love using a template for ease and the integration with TikTok and Instagram is pretty smooth. That said, there’s something about it that I don’t quite love! The interface can feel a bit clunky, sometimes the app lags with higher volumes of content being inputted, and the desktop version isn't perfect. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend it especially if you want a powerful, flexible editing tool that can handle your needs without huge learnings required. It’s become a big part of how I create visuals, personally and professionally.

Great when it works, infuriating when it doesn't
I use CapCut Pro for both my own content and client work, and my relationship with it is honestly love and frustration in equal measure. When it's working well it's one of the fastest ways to get a polished short form video out, the template library is actually really good and it's saved me a lot of time when I need to turn something around quickly without it looking like it was made in a hurry. For social media content specifically it hits the right formats and the editing flow is intuitive enough that you're not spending half your time figuring out where things are. But it crashes more than any tool I use regularly, and the auto captions are nowhere near accurate enough to rely on without a full edit, which kind of defeats the purpose. For a paid product that's a pretty basic thing to get right. I still use it, but always with a backup plan.
Pros:
Strong template library that actually keeps up with trends, fast for short form video, intuitive editing flow, good for both personal and client content
Cons:
Buggy and crashes more than it should, auto captions need a lot of manual correction, not reliable enough for tight turnarounds
