I couldn't live without it
I use Canva every day both for my own marketing and client work. It's a very intuitive tool that makes me feel like a designer for years now. With Pro, I organise the brand kit, the assets, and everything I need in one place to stay focused and productive. I've also started using it for video editing and once again, it seems easy to use for a non-designer.
Pros:
Great user experience, all the features you need in one place.
Cons:
There are never enough templates for a non-designer for inspiration (but to be clear they have a huge number available)

Why Canva Became My Go-To Design Tool (Especially for Beginners)
I’ve used quite a few design tools over the years, but Canva is honestly one of the most useful and beginner-friendly platforms out there. What makes it stand out is how simple and intuitive it is to navigate. Even if you’ve never designed anything before, Canva pretty much does a lot of the heavy lifting for you. The interface is clean, everything is easy to find, and you can start creating something good-looking in minutes. Another thing I really like is how feature-rich the platform is. It’s not just about templates. You can: - Edit photos directly inside Canva - Remove backgrounds from images - Erase specific parts of a photo - Add interesting elements, graphics, and effects - Customize designs quickly without needing advanced skills For content creators, marketers, or anyone building visuals for social media, it makes the whole process fast and actually enjoyable.
Cons:
Some tools could still use a bit of improvement. For example, the background remover is amazing most of the time, but with certain photos it can struggle to detect the subject perfectly, so you may need to do some manual adjustments. Overall, Canva is a powerful yet simple tool that makes design accessible to almost anyone, especially beginners.

Canva review from someone who practically lives there
I checked my Canva stats recently and realised I created 400+ designs last year. So yes… I think I’m qualified to have an opinion. For context: I use Canva almost every day for social media: mainly carousels, quick visuals, and the occasional chaotic last-minute idea that needs to become a post in 5 minutes. What I personally use it for most: • LinkedIn carousels • Quick social graphics • Updating templates for campaigns • The occasional last-minute “we need a visual for this post NOW” moment
Pros:
→ Speed. If you work in social, you know ideas move fast. Canva lets you turn a thought into a visual very quickly. → Templates that don’t feel boring. You can start with something simple and customise it enough so it still feels like your brand. → Collaboration. Sharing designs with the team, leaving comments, quick edits: it makes the workflow much smoother. → It makes design accessible. Not everyone on a marketing team is a designer, but Canva helps
Cons:
Once you start using it, you’ll probably always have a Canva tab open. Right next to LinkedIn.

love canva pro - 10/10
Canva Pro is probably the tool I've spent the most hours of my life in, and for good reason. For social media work specifically it's hard to beat, the speed at which you can go from a brief to a finished asset is something no other design tool has matched for me. The Brand Kit feature alone is worth the price if you're managing multiple clients, being able to switch between brand fonts, colours and logos in a few clicks rather than rebuilding everything from scratch each time saves an embarrassing amount of hours. I use it for everything from content calendars and pitch decks to social templates, event graphics and UGC briefs. The template library is huge but what I actually find more useful is building my own systems within it so that everything stays consistent across a client's whole content output. If you're a freelancer or work across multiple brands, Pro pays for itself quickly.
Pros:
Brand Kit is a game changer for anyone managing more than one client, huge library of templates and assets, easy to collaborate and share with clients, works across social formats really intuitively, Background Remover saves a lot of time
Cons:
Can get slow with larger files, some of the AI features still feel a bit half-baked, and if you're not organised with your folders it becomes a graveyard of random assets pretty fast

A genuinely efficient tool for fast-paced social media work
As a social media manager working across multiple brands, I rely heavily on tools that help me move quickly without compromising on quality. This platform surprised me in the best way, it feels purpose-built for the realities of our day-to-day workflow. The interface is clean, intuitive and thoughtfully structured, making it easy to switch between tasks, campaigns and assets without losing momentum. I especially appreciate how the tool cuts down on repetitive work and supports fast content production, which is essential when juggling tight deadlines and constant context-switching. Overall, it’s a well-designed, smooth experience that genuinely reduces friction in the social media process.
Pros:
- Intuitive layout with a minimal learning curve - Workflows clearly designed for social media teams - Smart templates that speed up production - Strong organisation between brands, projects and assets - Noticeably reduces time spent on repetitive tasks
Cons:
- Some templates could benefit from deeper customisation options - A few integrations still feel a bit limited - Light performance insights within the platform would be a valuable addition

Wouldn't live without it
Canva is my go-to design tool. It's so easy to use, and the latest integrations make it even more powerful. I've tried other tools like Adobe Express and Illustrator, but they're just not as user-friendly. With Canva, the possibilities are endless.
Pros:
Easy to keep track of all the assets
Cons:
The resize tool isn't as perfect
